Because of RDH’s leadership in the building science field, we are regularly asked to speak at industry events, and to develop and lead courses, presentations, and workshops for a variety of students. We’ve taught building science everywhere from hands-on trades programs to academic graduate departments. Many of our presenters are leaders in their field, and all have significant expertise in the topic areas they teach. You can find examples of our work in the Technical Library.

Our presentations are targeted to each audience, and range from the formal to the informal. But in all cases we strive to be engaging and responsive to participant questions.

A popular RDH-BSL tradition is our monthly LAB (Learning About Building Science) Events, webcast live from our Waterloo, Ontario office. If you can make it in person, there’s always plenty of pizza and craft-brewed beer. If you’re out of town, join us online!

To see all upcoming events (across RDH and RDH-BSL), check out our event listings. Or ask us about scheduling a building science expert to come to you.

Partnerships + Continuing Education

We are proud to have many connections with academic and industry-led programs and initiatives, from the NREL Race to Zero and Solar Decathlon student competitions to BCIT’s building science programs (where several of our staff teach) to the BUILD Ideas conference we co-hosted in 2015.

RDH is an approved continuing education provider for the AIA and AIBC. You may also be able to self-report participation to other organizations. If you have questions, please contact us.

“I very much appreciate how you get to the meat of the subject and stay there, rather than filling slides up with stuff we already know. Great information.”
